How to go into Safe Mode Without Pressing the F8 Key?

Safe Mode is an alternate boot method offered in Windows XP. It only loads the basic files and drivers that are needed to start your computer. For that reason, it becomes useful when you need to troubleshoot your computer or to scan for virus and Spyware.
For those who are using a Wireless keyboard may have encountered the problem of not being able to go into safe mode by the F8 key. The reason being is that wireless keyboard are not loaded until they have finished the booting up process. Even if you are using a normal keyboard, it is very inefficient to instruct other users to keep pressing the F8 key and most of the time, they only knew that they have missed it after they saw the windows loading screen.
So here is an alternative way to boot into Safe mode.
1) Go to Start –> Run…
2) Type msconfig and click Ok

3) On the System Configuration Utility click on BOOT.INI, Click on /SAFEBOOT and make sure MINIMAL is selected and click Ok.

4) In the last step, you should see the screen below. Just choose either restart now or restart later when you are done with your work.

After you have restarted, you should be loaded into the Safe Mode instead.
Note: Remember to repeat all the steps and uncheck the /SAFEBOOT in step 3 after you are done with your work inside Safe Mode. Only then you will be able to boot into normal mode again!
