6 features you might not have known in StumbleUpon

Below is a list of some useful tips which I want to share with you Stumblers! =)
1) Do you know that StumbleUpon have provided you with a weblog? To access your weblog, simply go to www.*StumbleUsername.stumbleupon.com. It contains a list of sites that you have previously thumbed up. Stumblers who find the list interesting, can surf directly from your weblog.
2) Do you know that you can remove the rating that you have previously made? There are some occasions where I rated a site accidentally. To remove the rating, simply go back to the page and click on the rating you have made. E.g. If you previously did a thumb up on that page, just click on the thumb up button again to remove it.

3) Do you know that you can actually share the photo you like in your weblog? To do so, you have to right click on the image and click on the “StumbleUpon PhotoBlog It!” button.

Images play the key role when it comes to livening up your weblog.
4) Do you know that “StumbleUpon PhotoBlog It!” button is just a shortcut for you? In actual fact it just adds a normal HTML code into your review.
<a href=”http://www.stumbleupon.com/”><img border=0 width=310 height=290 src=”http://www.stumbleupon.com/images/s.gif”></a>
<a href=”*Website URL“><img border=”0″ width=”*edited width” height=”*edited height” src=”*Full URL of Image Location” /></a>
The next time if you want to PhotoBlog an image that have exceeded the width of 750, you just have to substitute in this line of code into your review to PhotoBlog it.
5) Do you know that you just have to highlight the words from the page and press Alt-F5 to quote from the page? For mac user try pressing Alt-F3 instead (it only works for Firefox and Netscape users). By doing so, the words that you have highlighted will automatically appear as From the page”" format. If you didn’t enable stumble shortcuts, try clicking on
in your stumble tool bar instead.

6) For those who see “Try out the NEW (beta) version of this page!” in their own stumble blog, do you know that the new design is no longer in beta version? Do try it out by clicking on that link. You also have the option to change back to the older design if you don’t like the new design.
I believe most of you might have already known these features. The reason why I am sharing this with you is because I only got to know these recently and I truly enjoy these features. =) For those who haven’t tried it, I highly recommend for you to do so.

Thank you for the lesson in “Stumbleupon How To”. I am relatively new to Stumbleupon and find that an infusion of information; as you have presented here, can lead to a better understanding of the” how to” and the information tends to stay in memory. (Yike!) I was just about to erase this little bla, bla; but ; thanks for the info it will come in handy. If you are so inclined drop me a line I will reply at least once.
Hi Askabarr! Hope this post can really be of help to you in the upcoming days. =) Do you mind sharing with me your stumbleupon weblog address?
I was Stumblin’ for months before I realized that you can highlight some text then right click and “Stumble-Thru” the chosen words. This really narrows down your Stumbles. I can’t do it with Internet Explorer, though, only FireFox.
Hi StumbleBum! That’s a great tip too! thanks for sharing.
Stumblebum just prompted a thought. What CAN you do in IE that Firefox can’t?
Hi…thankyou.I’ve been wondering how people do that…now I know. xxx
Here’s something I find extremely useful:
in the stumbleupon toolbar under ‘tools’ and then ‘toolbar options’ and finally ’shortcuts’ you can set shortcut keys to do things like stumble and rate pages. mine is set to ALT + ` to stumble (the keys are right next to eachother on my keyboard so it’s easy, but my friend has hers set to SHIFT + Z)
it’s really convenient, I can stumble from page to page even easier now!
Stumble advice for the Stupid.
The Stupid have no place in Stumble.
The joy of Stumbling is discovery - including all the things you can do.
Telling people “How to” destroys the joy of discovery.
Beta (not Beta) is “widely used”?
“Over 100,000 Stumblers have tried beta” - that’s about 0.25% of Stumblers.
0.25% doesn’t seem to count as widely used.
How many tried it and didn’t go back to user-friendly, better looking, more personal/less corporate “classic” is not specified.
SU is not designed for IE. Don’t use IE. IE is not industry compliant.
stumbleupon is the best thing since sliced bread
Stumble Upon is the best thing since Google that’s for sure, those without Stumble Upon only see a fraction of what we Stumblers do…
Tell no one of this..
